Donate to diabetes research and help change lives in Western Australia

When you donate to Diabetes Research WA, you are directly funding medical research conducted by WA-based scientists working to prevent, treat and ultimately cure diabetes. 80% of every donation goes directly to our research programs. Since 1976, the generosity of our donors has made more than $26 million in research funding possible.

That funding has supported over 80 projects, producing discoveries that have benefited people with diabetes not just in WA, but around the world.

Where does my donation go?

When you donate to DRWA your donation will go towards:

  • Projects that are focused on improving the lives of people living with or at risk of developing diabetes, run by Western Australia-based medical and research scientists.
  • Aim of creating a world without diabetes – working towards a cure (or cures).
  • Preventing development of diabetes.
  • Preventing and reversing diabetes related complications.
  • Minimising the impact of living with diabetes.
  • Advocating for increased research and associated Government funding.
  • Raising the profile of the power of research and how it changes the lives of those with
diabetes and their families and carers.
