Since our formation in 1976, Diabetes Research WA has made an extraordinary contribution to diabetes research in Western Australia, awarding in excess of $6.6m to over 80 projects including scholarships, fellowships and research equipment. In addition, DRWA has coordinated the establishment of the Centre for Diabetes Research – enabling a further $17m in funding towards diabetes research projects right here in Western Australia.
The achievements of DRWA researchers are far-reaching, significantly enhancing the day-to-day lives of people living with diabetes both in Australia and overseas. We are immensely proud of their successes – none of which were possible without the generous support of our donors, partners and volunteers.
