Diabetes research right here in Western Australia

We are pleased to invite you to our celebratory breakfast for the announcement of our 2025 Research Grant winner.

Telethon Speech and Hearing Centre, Wembley

Doors open 7.00am, a light breakfast will be served from 7.30am
We will finish at 8.30am.

During the breakfast we will:

  • Hear an introduction from Peter Kerr, Chairman of Diabetes Research WA, profiling DRWA’s recent work and what it means for those linked with diabetes.
  • Hear from last year’s successful grant recipient, Dr Danuta Sampson, for an overview of her research project, and the impact it could have on the treatment of diabetic eye disease in WA.
  • Acknowledge our new Life Members for their contributions to diabetes research in WA.
  • Announce and congratulate our 2025 grant winner. Our winner will provide an overview of their planned research project as well as the impact they hope to make in the diabetes landscape.

We will conclude our morning with an informal Q&A session regarding the future of diabetes research in Western Australia.
